Dave Hackett grew up in Cranston, Rhode Island, and began attending real estate open houses at a relatively early age. By the age of 12, he often picked out open house advertisements on weekends, attempting to lure at least one of his parents to attend. After spending years in the print advertising industry, Dave began working as an agent for Chicago Apartment Finders, mostly representing clients seeking apartments and condos for rent. During this time, he won awards for sales volume and client satisfaction, including a two-year lease on a Mini Cooper Clubman (the company’s equivalent of the Mary Kay pink Cadillac).
